Cerritos College, the two-time defending CCCAA State Champion and National Champion, has been seeded #2 for the upcoming Southern California Regional Playoffs. The Falcons (19-1-) won their ninth straight South Coast Conference championship this season and have outscored their opponents, 121-3 this season. They will be hosting the winner of the game between #18 Golden West College (9-7-4) and #15-seed Mt. San Antonio College (14-5-1), who will compete in their play-in game on Thursday. The first round game will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

If Cerritos faces the Mounties, it will be the third meeting of the season between the two teams. In South Coast Conference play, second place Mt. SAC dropped 6-0 and 1-0 decisions against the Falcons. Cerritos has not faced Golden West this year. The only setback for the Falcons this year was a 1-0 conference decision to East Los Angeles College.

In the last seven years, the Falcons have won four state championships (2007-08 and 2012-13), while they have been named the national champions three times.
