The Cerritos College women's soccer team captured their third straight California Community College Athletic Association state championship last season. They also concluded the year ranked #2 in the country and with that success came four-year schools looking to scoop up the Falcons talent. The soccer program has announced that 14 members of the team have moved on to four-year colleges.

Heading that list is National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Player of the Year Nayeli Requejo, who signed a National Letter of Intent at UC Irvine. She is the second straight Cerritos POY that signed with UCI, joining Claudia Lopez. Three other All-America selections have signed with four-year schools, including Ashley Anaya-Webb (Uviversity of Idaho), Makayla Mendoza (UC Riverside) and Adrianna Salazar (Cal Lutheran University). Requejo and Anaya-Webb became the first two Falcon players to record over 100 points in a season.

Others who have signed include 1st Team All-South Coast Conference selection Clara Gomez (University of Idaho), Carolina Ornelas (San Francisco State University), 2nd Team All-SCC Alex Kidd (South Carolina State University), Cassie Reyes (University of Louisiana-Lafayette), Jazmin Aguas (Cal State Los Angeles) and Alexandria Trujillo (South Carolina State University). Demi Lomeli, who spent last season as an injury red-shirt, signed with University of Louisiana-Lafayette and will have three seasons of athletic eligibility. The trio of Krista Velasco (UCLA), 2nd Team All-SCC Kassie Olivas (Cal State Fullerton) and Celinna Montano (Cal State Dominguez Hills) have also transferred, but will not play soccer.
