The Cerritos College women's tennis team remained undefeated at home (5-0) after their 8-1 South Coast Conference win over Victor Valley College on Thursday. The Falcons (9-3, 4-2) will now travel to Long Beach City College next Thursday for a 2:00 p.m. conference match.

Sitting out the match against the Rams was #1 singles player Samantha Judan (Bishop Montgomery HS), who moved everyone up in the ladder. Other than freshman Stef Flores (Golden Valley Charter HS), who took over the top spot, every Cerritos player posted a sweep in their singles matches. Sophomore Rianne Ilagan (Bellflower HS) remained undefeated on the year (12-0) with a 6-1, 6-1 win in the #2 position, while sophomore Natali Perez (Lakewood HS) easily won her match, 6-3, 6-1.

Sophomore Staci Gonzales (Vista del Lago HS) won her first match of the year in the #4 position with a 6-0, 6-1, decision, while freshman Betty Villareal (Warren HS) handed Sarah Yousef a 6-1, 6-2 score in the #5 position. The Rams had only five players, so the Falcons earned a team point in both singles and doubles.

Ilagan and Perez picked up an 8-3 win in the top doubles match, while Gonzales and sophomore Jessica Alcayde (Cabrillo HS) improved to 7-1 as a tandem with an 8-1 win.
