Cerritos College sophomore Samantha Judan (Bishop Montgomery HS) is the lone women's tennis player remaining at the CCCAA State Championships. The Falcons, who opened the day with one singles player and two doubles teams, will cheer on Judan, as she competes in the quarterfinals on Saturday in Ojai.

Judan, the #6-seeded player from Southern California, started her day off with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Ghia Mahta of DeAnza College, the #10-seeded player from Northern California. That pitted her against Palomar College's Remy Littrell, the #10-seeded player from Southern California, who upset #2-seeded Shayla Fulton of El Camino College in three sets. Judan wore down Littrell and posted a 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(1) win to advance to the quarterfinals. She will take on Stephanie Ramos of Sierra College, the #3-seeded player from the Northern California at 9:30 a.m. at the Ojai Athletic Club.

Judan and sophomore Rianne Ilagan (Bellflower HS) doubled up to eliminate Jacklyn Lee and Mahta in their first match of the day, 6-2, 6-2, who were the #12-seeded team from Northern California. But their run at the championship came to a close in the Round of 16, as the duo dropped a 4-6, 1-6 score against #5-seeded Macy Elliott and Maya Mannetgulyeva of Fresno City College. The Falcons other doubles team that started the day, freshman Stef Flores (Golden Valley Charter HS) and sophomore Natali Perez (Lakewood HS) dropped a 3-6, 2-6 score against #10-seeded Jaella Conway and Marlayna Durant of Grossmont College.
