The Cerritos College doubles tandem of Samantha Judan (Bishop Montgomery HS) and Rianne Ilagan (Bellflower HS) registered a big win in the semifinals, which advanced them to the finals of the South Coast Conference Tournament on Saturday. The sophomore duo pulled out an 8-6 win over Leticia Dos Santos and Laura Arruda of College of the Desert in that semifinal match. It was the second 8-6 win over the Roadrunners pair this season.

It propelled Judan and Ilagan (pictured left) to the finals, where they were defeated by the team of Rose Sgolsutyatorn and Shayla Fulton of El Camino College, 8-0.

For the upcoming Southern California Regional Tournament, the Falcons will be represented in singles play by Judan and freshman Stef Flores (Golden Valley Charter HS), while all three doubles teams have advanced. Joining Judan and Ilagan are Flores and sophomore Natali Perez (Lakewood HS), while sophomores Staci Gonzales (Vista del Lago HS) and Jessica Alcayde (Cabrillo HS) qualified via the back draw with an 8-3 win over Rio Hondo College's Stephanie Rodriguez and Delia Lujan.
